reeds sax artist Jimmy Halperin, and guitar virtuoso Larry
Meyer, experimented w/ a time stretching style of jazz they dubbed
"pan-dimensional". Soon after they recruited local heavyweights Joe
Ascione on drums, and Pete Chivily on bass. Since then they've
developed an impecible set and continue to impress their peers,
including the legendary Les Paul. These cats have regularly headlined east
coast hot spots such as; The Dancing Goat, 21club, Birdland, Iridium, and are
currently booking to support a new CD.As the true colors of jazz are splashed around by this marvelous group of talented artisans you can truly appreciate the music for what it is. However complex it may be, the music has the resiliency and diversity to engage the listener and take them on a voyage anew with every song. "Liquidity" is a like star approaching it's zenith. You can feel the intensity and brilliance in their music like it was something tangible. This is an incisive session giving you all the vibrancy that jazz has to offer.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent musicians! ., June 8, 2000 - This album,featuring Larry Meyer,is a superb showcase of talent. The songs are well arranged and performed with much virtuosity. This album also provides a new and exciting perspective on how jazz is really played. This is definitely not a boring album and you will be on the edge of your seat through every song!. I totally recommend this album to any jazz enthusiast and and musician. I know that they will find it to be a musical treasure.

5 out of 5 stars shredders!, December 17, 2000 - this cd shreds. i've been listening to all kinds of music, but i never really liked much jazz, except some older stuff with coltrane and bird. i thought all jazz of late was kind of wimpy. then i got turned on to these guys. no wimps here. they shred like forest chain-saws. the chips fly in your face, and you come out bleeding for more. when i listen to music i like to be moved. this to me has that REAL jazz sound, what i'd always thought jazz should sound like, if i were to imagine what real cool stuff would be!
